Thanksgiving Outreach 2002

50 Give Their Lives
To Jesus Christ

Love In Action's third annual Thanksgiving outreach for the needy in Enterprise, Alabama, was a tremendous success. Pictured above, Love In Action President Mike Shroades leads about 50 people in a prayer to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Pictured below, about 250 people enjoy a delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Love In Action volunteer Debbie Dubose did a wonderful job organizing the food and leading a team in the preparation of the large meal.
This year's outreach was held at the Enterprise Civic Center for the first time. The event included two dramas, a gospel message from Mike Shroades, door prizes and love music from J.O.E. (Jesus Owns Everything).

In the first drama of the evening, Jesus, portrayed by Kelly Metz, knocked out Satan in Carman's song "The Champion."

The second drama, titled "Uninvited," really hit home with many in attendance. The drama had four scenes - prostitution, drug addiction, a man sentenced to die in the electric chair, and a family overtaken by domestic violence. The street evangelist talks to each person about Jesus, but Jesus is "Uninvited" in their lives.

J.O.E. (Jesus Owns Everything) provided the music for the event, and as always they did a great job leading the people in praise and worship.
