The three-day outreach ended with a Jesus Jam Festival at a housing project in Atlanta. Following the service, which included skits and praise and worship, 20 children came forward to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. |
|
This young lady enjoyed herself during praise and worship at the Jesus Jam Festival. She got on stage with the band and danced. Children in this housing project don't get too many opportunities to smile and have fun. The apartments are located next to "Million Dollar Corner," named that because it is estimated that $1 million is exchanged each year from drug sales and prostitution. The Atlanta Dream Center is doing a great job reaching this community, however. Every Saturday they do an outreach called "MetroKids," which provides great fun in a safe Christian environment for the children. |

Love
In Action team members Jennifer, Debbie and Susie cook hot dogs to feed
more than 100 people at the Jesus Jam Festival. Debbie leads the food
ministry for Love In Action, and she did an excellent job putting everything
together for all three days. Serving more than 600 people isn't easy,
but Debbie made it look easy. |

Joyce Hall of Eagle's Nest Ministries, hands out new pairs of socks that Love In Action provided thanks to a generous donation from Doug Norris of Columbus, Ga. Since the homeless spend so much time walking, socks are like gold to them. They are always very appreciative to receive new socks. |

Martha Tuck, of Love In Action, ministers to a young lady. One-on-one ministry is a very important part of Love In Action's inner city outreaches. It lets the people know that we care enough to take time to listen to them and pray with them. |
|
Love In Action President Mike Shroades delivered powerful messages Thursday and Friday nights. The response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in those services was great as nearly 100 people committed their lives to Jesus Christ. |

The youth praise and worship band from Church of the Harvest in Cleveland, Tenn., led praise and worship during the Friday night service and Saturday's Jesus Jam Festival. These young people did a great job with the music and dramas. They also helped serve food and a number of other behind-the-scenes chores. They all have great servant hearts. |

Love In Action Vice President Ken Tuck and Pastor Harold Smith of Eagle's Nest worked together for about six months planning "Compassion Atlanta." They both thank God for everything that happened during the three days. They also thank the nearly 40 volunteers who all did such wonderful work, and to all the people who prayed and gave finances and supplies to make "Compassion Atlanta" a great success. |
