Atlanta Outreach '08

Schedule:

Friday, Sept. 19

10 a.m.: Meet at Eagle's Nest
10:30-11:30 a.m.: Preparations for outreach
11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.: - street ministry, including serving lunch on the streets
2-4 p.m.: Help Eagle's Nest with anything they need, such as cleaning the building, shaping up flower beds, arranging clothes closest and stocking hygiene items.

Saturday, Sept. 20

9 a.m.: Meet at Eagle's Nest
9:30-10:30 a.m.: Preparations for outreach, including set up and cooking for lunch and preparing for the service.
10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: street ministry

11:30 a.m. - Noon: service with music and preaching
Noon - 1 p.m.: Serve lunch
1-2 p.m. - clean up
- with everyone helping

Ways you can help:

- Street evangelism
- Christian tracts distribution
- Music - we need musicians and singers
- Cooking for the homeless
- Serving food to the homeless
- Altar team
- Praying with others
- Helping Eagle's Nest with anything they need done

- Pray for the outreach that people will be saved and lives changed

- Be a volunteer. Come join us.

- Give financially

- Donate supplies for outreach (see below)

 

Supplies needed for outreach

- New or good used Bibles
- Bottled water and canned drinks
- Food: hotdogs and buns, condiments, chips, chicken, rolls, side items, desserts
- Paper/plastic items: plates, napkins, paper towels, cups, forks, spoons and knives.

Come and be a volunteer and help us proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through acts of compassion.

Things to do in Atlanta

We will have some free time while in Atlanta. You can rest and relax poolside at your hotel, or you can choose from the vast array of events going on in Atlanta.
The Braves will be in town playing the Mets Friday-Sunday.
A great Christian concert will be held at the Lakewood Amphitheatre on Saturday night with Third Day, Switchfoot with Robert Randolph and Jars of Clay.
